KingsAge is all about managing your time and resources. Building things takes real time, so if you want to upgrade your castle, all you have to do is click, and wait the alloted time. The presentation is basic, with tiny animations on your settlement's image. The rest of the game is text based - you can even choose a "classic" view which discards all the graphics!
This is a game for people who enjoy the details of strategy games, without flashy visual or even a story to drive you onwards. One of KingsAge's biggest challenges is maintaining interest - it takes a long time to get to a stage where you are ready to take on other player's settlements, or trade with them.
While you need a premium account for some features, you can do a lot with the free account (registration necessary). Compared to many of today's strategy games, it's dry and not easy to get into if you haven't played a game like this before.
KingsAge does nothing that will attract casual users, but it offers lots of fairly boring strategy for anyone that wants it.
